Traditions::Tea Ceremony

The tea ceremony is one of the most important tasks you must perform as a Ninja. It is a test of your knowledge and competence in Agatean culture. Also, through the use of poisons it can be a very crafty way of performing an inhumation. I won't describe the steps necessary to perform the ceremony as they are very clearly described in the tea ceremony room where you will also find Tu For Teeh.

Seppuku

Closely related to the tea ceremony is the tradition of seppuku. You may perform this ceremony to regain your honour in the guild if the Avatar or Sensei shame you as punishment for your actions. As described by Master Yung:

The tradition of seppuku is used to clease yourself of shame and restore your dignity through the taking of your own life. The ceremony can only be performed by the standards set by our ancestors, in the secluded garden used since the foundation of our order. The shamed must don the ceremonial robes and set the ceremonial sword against their flesh, and with a single stroke cleanse themselves with their blood. I must bear witness to this.
